I thought, now that this time of year has arrived, a moment which, with the beginning of summer, sees the full bloom of the part of our rose garden populated by old roses, to dedicate a post to these flowers that breeders of other times wanted us to bequeath, and when June auctoress of "Inspired by" asked me to take part in this Virtual Blog Tour I said to myself: " Why don't think of a post that satisfies both things, in a dialogue made of words and pictures ? "
And so here I am, ready to take you by the hand in a walk along the most secret part of the garden of Tenuta Geremia and answer the questions provided by this wonderful initiative that allows us to meet new people and the wonderful world that they share here.
But, first of all, let me introduce her, I know her for months and in her I've found a lovely person: novelist, June is always full of wonder for Life and the way in which it manifests itself, ready to immortalize it with some shot as amazing as is the Nature which we live in; when I've been asked for I agreed to take part in this 'play' with sincere enthusiasm, that one I put in everything I do ...

E perciò eccomi qui, pronta a prendervi per mano per accompagnarvi in una passeggiata nella parte più segreta del giardino di Tenuta Geremia mentre rispondo alle domande previste da questa iniziativa meravigliosa che ci permette di conoscere persone nuove ed il favoloso mondo che qui condividono.

1. What am I working on ?
This ia a time a bit special in my life, made of questions and choices, ... and as every year, full of work!
As soon as schools end and resumed at full speed the life of nature, my eyes and my energy are concentrated in the garden, in the large green space that surrounds my home and that requires my care.
You should also know that I live in a big old building still in the process of restructuring that slowly proceeds for years and as soon as we have the opportunity, we try to carry it on.
To all this it has to be combined with the dedication with which, for a little over a year, I take care of my blog that has opened me a whole new world and that gave me the opportunity to meet special people whose existence I was completely unaware of before .. when I think abou it my heart is overflowing with joy, I didn't really think that to start a blog conceded so much happiness !

1. A cosa sto lavorando ?
E' questo un momento un po' particolare della mia vita, fatto di interrogativi, di scelte,... e come ogni anno, colmo di lavoro !
Finite le scuole e ripresa a pieno ritmo la vita della natura, il mio sguardo e la mia energia si concentrano in giardino, nell'ampio spazio verde che circonda la mia casa e che richiede cure.
Dovete sapere inoltre che abito in una grande costruzione molto antica ancora in via di ristrutturazione che, lentamente, procede da anni e che, non appena abbiamo l'occasione, cerchiamo di portare avanti.
A tutto ciò va unita la dedizione con cui, da poco più di un anno ormai, curo questo mio blog che mi ha aperto un mondo del tutto nuovo e che mi ha dato la possibilità di conoscere persone speciali della cui esistenza ero prima del tutto ignara .. quando mi trovo a pensarlo il cuore mi trabocca dalla gioia, non credevo che avviare un blog concedesse tanta felicità !

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre ?
I believe that in doing the same, just the same things, if it's true that we put a little of ourselves in our activities, we differ each other, in the name of the uniqueness that characterizes us: ethically I find beautiful to think that, even with small differences, we are all uniques, none the same, I think it's one of the wonders of Creation !

Credo che anche nel fare le medesime, identiche cose, se è vero che poniamo un po' di noi stessi nelle nostre attività, differiamo ciascuno dall'altro, in nome dell'unicità che ci connota: eticamente trovo bellissimo pensare che, pur con piccole differenze, siamo tutti distinti, nessuno identico, credo che sia una delle meraviglie del Creato !

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I think that here my love for reading, understanding and knowledge can find the right fulfillment, allowing me the web also to satisfy the curiosity of history which I'm very 'greedy' of: here we are talking about history, art, costume, culture, curiosity, gardening, doing everything that feeds the spirit soar, especially towards the past and its traditions, towards those historical periods which I feel I belong to and I am deeply pleased to be able to say that I've found in you enthusiastic and intelligent, sensitive and polite interlocutors, the best I could wish for !

3. Perché scrivo ciò che scrivo ?
Cedo che qui il mio amore per la lettura, la conoscenza ed il sapere possano trovare il giusto compimento, consentendomi il web anche di soddisfare le curiosità storiche di cui sono molto 'ghiotta': qui si parla di storia, arte, costume, cultura, curiosità, giardinaggio, tutto quanto appaga lo spirito facendoci volare in alto, soprattutto verso il passato e le sue tradizioni, verso quelle epoche storiche a cui sento di appartenere profondamente e sono lieta di potere dire che ho trovato in voi interlocutori entusiasti ed intelligenti, sensibili e garbati, quanto di meglio potessi desiderare !

Well, you should know that my library is very well stocked and always growing and therefore I'm not without ideas ... the changing of the seasons, moreover, combined with my love for living in close contact with nature, provides to the rest, in short, I should write even more than I do !
I never do plans for a long time, not more than a month, and often leave the reality inspiring me, my curiosity of the moment, the topics that often even the readings suggest to me and, after collecting ideas and images needed to equip them, the work of writing is rather short, the most of the energy goes into the design rather than into making it.
And finally, the English translation, the most enjoyable part for me, as the English language I'm deep lover since ever also in the hope to do something pleasant for friends and readers who follow me from English-speaking countries.

4. Come procede il tuo lavoro di scrittura ?
Beh, dovete sapere che la mia libreria è molto ben fornita ed in continua crescita e perciò gli spunti non mi mancano ... l'alternarsi delle stagioni, inoltre, unito con il mio amore per il vivere a stretto contatto con la natura, me ne fornisce altri, insomma dovrei scrivere ancor più di quanto faccio !
Non faccio mai progetti a lungo nel tempo, non oltre il mese, e lascio spesso che sia la realtà ad ispirarmi, le mie curiosità del momento, gli argomenti che sovente anche le letture mi suggeriscono e, dopo aver raccolto le idee e le immagini necessarie a corredarle, il lavoro di scrittura è piuttosto breve, il più va nel progettare un lavoro piuttosto che nel realizzarlo.
Ed infine la traduzione in inglese, la parte più piacevole per me, che della lingua inglese sono cultrice ed amante da sempre, nella speranza di fare inoltre cosa gradita per gli amici ed i lettori che mi seguono dai paesi anglofoni.

Finally, I wish, thanking infinitely June for thinking of me and of My little old world, to introduce two blog friends that my blog has given me the opportunity to know, who represent the next stage of our 'journey':
Annie, a sweet girl with a gentle soul who lives on the shores of the Ocean, who, with her post, made of images, of current affairs, of nature, let us know something of her life highlighting the uniqueness and the delicacy of her personality;
Janet, a lover of photography that enables her to capture her flowers and her creations, from the restoration of her lovely rooms to the creation of delightful corners in her garden, both women I do admire because with their blogs they always open up to me new worlds.

Desidero infine, ringraziando infinitamente June per avere pensato a me e a My little old world, presentarvi due amiche che questo mio blog mi ha dato l'opportunità di conoscere e che rappresentano la tappa successiva di questo nostro 'viaggio':
Annie, una dolcissima ragazza dall'animo gentile che vive sulle rive dell'oceano, che con i suoi post fatti un po' di immagini, un po' di attualità, un po' di natura, un po' della sua vita mette in luce l'unicità e la delicatezza del suo carattere;
Janet, amante della fotografia che le consente di immortalare i suoi fiori e le sue creazioni, dal restauro di ambienti alla creazione di angoli deliziosi in giardino, entrambe donne che ammiro perchè con i loro blog mi aprono sempre mondi nuovi.
