.. Autunno,
Stagione delle nebbie e dei maturi
Frutti soavi, all'almo sole amica,
Dolce - suadente a lui che benedica
Con te pergole pensili dai muri,
E curvi alle capanne peri e meli
Penetrando ogni frutto fino al cuore,
E le zucche arrotondi, e le nocciole
Addolcisca e raffermi col calore
Le gemme e scarsi fiori ancora sveli
All'api che dimenticano i geli
Nelle celle del miele colme al sole!
John Keats, To Autumn, September 1819
Rosa Crown Princess Margaretha, David Austin 1999
Rosa Constance Spry, David Austin 1961
Rosa Glamis Castle, David Austin 1992
Rosa Maid Marion, David Austin 2010
Rosa Cécile Brunner, Pernet-Ducher 1881
Rosa The Shepherdess, David Austin 2005
Rosa A Shropshire Lad, David Austin 1996
Rosa Eglantyne, David Austin 1994
Rosa Jude the Obscure, David Austin 1995
Rosa Jubilee Celebration, David Austin 2002
e c'è chi, con la saggezza del naturale istinto, mentre le osserva s'affretta a far provvista;
Rosa The Generous Gardener, David Austin 2002
Rosa The Prince, David Austin 1986
Simphony .. of an Autumn rose garden.
- picture 1
... Autumn,
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eaves run;
To bend with apples the moss’d cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease;
For Summer has o’erbrimm’d their clammy cells.
John Keats, To Autumn, September 1819

YOU'RE THE STAR - OCTOBER 2017 - GARDEN
THROUGH MY LENS
WORDLESS WEDNESDAY (ON TUESDAY)
What a lovely post of gorgeous roses, Dany !
RispondiEliminaAnd I love John Keats' Autumn poem, so beautiful !
Have a wonderful week,
Sylvia
@ Sylvia
Eliminayes, I have to say that now I'm getting used to these kind of surprises that Autumn make me in our rose garden .. These are really surprises, because after the Spring and the Summer it's easy for the plants to require rest, but probably the end of the last Summer, quite dry and very hot, put them at rest in advance and now they're reliving, in this season for the moment very mild, a second Spring!
Spend a great week you too my dear !!
Oh my goodness, so much beauty here, Dany!
RispondiEliminaDavid Austin roses are my absolute favorites, and the ones you posted here are simply perfection.
I always feel soooooo good after visiting you here.
I wish you a beautiful week ahead, my dear friend. xo.
@ Lisa
EliminaI wonder who, between us, is more glad, if you in coming here by me or me in reading your comments, always so lovely :) !!!
So, you're fond of Austin roses too !
I'm really passionate with them and during these days I'm just working to prepare their beds with food and mulch to keep them warm in winter.. I'd love so much to have even more time to dedicate them, I discover myself more and more keen on taking care of them and making photographs in various moments of the day and of the year !
Spend a great course of the week my sweet friend, and a lovely week end too ♡
Thanks so much !
Hugs

Ti aspetto ... davvero, a braccia aperte ~ ♥
Elimina
Just magical! Your roses are simply gorgeous, Daniela, wow! :D

EliminaAutumn spell !
When cold doesn't come too soon, it happens ... which makes me think that the mild Autumn, even better if a little wet, generates here an almost British climate, giving us gardens even more beautiful than in summer.
A hug with my dear with which I wish you a happy week to spend in the warmth of your home hearth ^^♡
Your roses and autumnal views are so lovely, Dany! Belissima!

RispondiElimina@ A Colorful World
EliminaI thank you from the deep of my heart, your words of enthusiasm fills my heart with such a deep joy, Dearest Friend !
The cabbage rose you like most is an English sose from David Austin's Nursery, as all those we have in our rose garden, and its name is 'THE PRINCE', it has more than a hundred petals and it's in full bloom all the Summer long, since it loves the hottest sun, but it's also the very last to be in bloom during this season, I love it for all the wonderful flowers it gives us as a gift :) !
Wishing you a most wonderful end of your week,
with sincere gratitude ♡ஐ♡
Autumn is beautiful at your house sweet Dany! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
