For a Victorian Christmas ~ Make Your Own Victorian Wreath.

It's useless to say, dear friends and readers, that we ought to our Victorians the Christmas as we know it and how we celebrate it today that's why, to prepare us to welcome it in the best and most traditional of the ways, I thought to resort to some suggestions, as for decorations, that will make your  own Christmas more victorian than ever!
First of all let's start by preparing a wreath to embellish our front door and with which to welcom warmly those who enter our homes during these days when we prepare our hearts for the most beautiful, joy-filled and meaningful holiday of the year.

The tradition of preparing a wreath to hang on the door dates back to many centuries before the 1800's, but it was a tradition that the Victorians embraced and made their own with joy. Victorian wreaths were very elaborate and made with all kinds of evergreen foliage that could be found in nature even with the season's climatic rigor, such as holly, ivy and little branches of yew. To decorate it they used seasonal fruits and pine cones.

But let's watch in the following video how to prepare easily a wreath just like those dating back to the Victorian Age.

It looks gorgeous, doesn't it ?

See you in a few days to prepare another Victorian Christmas decoration 💕

it's a big job to me too, having a big home and wanting every room having, at least, its little decoration ... but it's worth doing it, the result always repay the effort, it's almost if we would call the Spirit of Christmas inside our homes every years, isn't it ?

Thanking you so, so much, dearest friend
      - to have you here always mean so much to me, you put me in such high spirits and fill my heart -

  13. I doubt that many people are going to start making wreaths. More and more people don't even prepare their own food and eat out at restaurants the whole time, especially cheap, unappealing and unhealthy fast food. The scent of pine needles and the vision of holly has largely been replaced with tinsel, glitter and excess. Sorry to be such a curmudgeon, but that's the truth!

I like to hope it :)
